I have found this video when searching for methods to stabilise the tripod more when panning or tracking a character. The result of adding more weight to the tripod and holding it differently is drastically better than the original footage without stabilisation and I will be using this very simple method during our filming to create smoother shots and make our trailer look more professional and sleek.

Possible Shot Idea
This effect is a chest cam which is used in some films to show the characters facial expression whilst they are walking. A notorious use of it is in trainspotting to show Ewan McGregor's facial expression whilst he is suffering the affects of drug use. We can use this effect in our trailer to show a characters expression, we would probably use it to show the husbands expression once he finds the ransom note on his desk and show his breakdown of anger and fear.

Possible Script Ideas
Voiceover
In a world where everything seems normal
could you spot the strange and unusual
coming fall 2012
A film by Kieran Marr
That will make you look at people in a different light
This voiceover idea would build tension and suspense as well as inform the audience of all the key information such as when it is released and the director. It also asks rhetorical questions to get the audience involved and thinking.

Gone In 60 Seconds Car Chase Analysis
In our trailer we want to create the illusion of a car chase without filming an expensive and difficult car chase so whilst watching this scene from gone in 60 seconds both Me and Mitch have worked out that we can create an illusion of a car chase and travelling very quickly by using some techniques shown in this scene such as the quick gear changes and the shots of the rev counter/speedometer combined with engine sounds can create the illusion of a speedy car chase which we can use in our trailer. This technique will be useful in our trailer as it will increase the pace of the trailer and will show the audience the action side to our protagonist.
